I love that I am writing this whilst on my flight from MUC – LAX. Now this page is really starting to feel like a travel diary. Growing up – and even now – people often ask whether I’m from the US. When I tell them that I had never set foot in this vast country until I was 18, they are surprised. The US is my most visited country outside of Europe. Thanks to the language, it’s also one of the easiest places to travel – and incredibly diverse.
I’ve done road trips in California, vacationed in Miami with the family, traveled to New Orleans to attend Jazz Fest by myself, surfed – and ended up in the ER – in Hawaii with my #1 travel buddy Claire…the list goes on. As I am writing this I am actually on my way to visit Claire in Seattle, where she settled for now. Next week I’ll be working from LA for the entire month of April because guess what happens near LA every April? Yup, the Coachella Arts & Music Festival. These three music-palm-tree-food-sunshine-beauty-filled days in the desert in Indio, California are the real reason I’ll keep coming back to the United States of America.
