Egypt, my 100th country. And I couldn’t have picked a better country to celebrate in.

In my head, Egypt was always associated with mass-tourism, so I avoided it despite being so close to home, established for tourists, affordable to travel, hosting unmissable culture and perfect weather. Yet when I read about Nil el Nour in an article in Condenast Traveller, Egypt quickly made it to the top of my bucket list.

Lucky for me, my partner remembered the article I showed him and gifted me the most incredible 30th birthday present: a week on the Nile! After we went, four other friends went on separate trips shortly after because we could not stop raving about the experience.
